Proper Glove Use
Proper Glove Use
If you must wear gloves, the following tips outline how to and when to in a safe way, so to help reduce risks of contamination and infection.
Wash hands thoroughly before and after wearing gloves.
Change gloves after each task. (I.e. If you are working with chicken, and then you want to prepare a salad, gloves worn during the first task must be discarded, hands washed, and a new pair of gloves taken from the package and worn to fulfill the role of the second task).
Bandage any cuts and wounds on hands, and if the finger is affected, protect with a finger cot, prior to putting gloves on.
Keep gloves stored in their original container in a way that protects them from contamination
