Microbiological Contamination: Checklist for Prevention
There are many things you can do to help protect food from microbiological contamination, and help reduce the risk and spread of disease. These are actions you should be taking both in the workplace and at home:
Only use safe food and water supplies.
Ensure food is cooked and stored at appropriate temperatures.
Ensure food is covered and protected from contamination.
Ensure food contact surfaces and equipment are cleaned and sanitized in between use.
Execute proper food handling procedures.
DO NOT work with food while sick.
Wash your hands often.
