Cooling: Ice Bath Method
The ice-bath method is another way to cool food correctly to ensure food remains safe. To make an ice bath, fill a sink with ice, and submerge the pot/pan in the middle of the ice bath. Ensure ice covers all sides and depths to ensure contents are cooled rapidly. You may also use another holding unit, as long as you can cover all sides and the depth of the food container with ice.
