ESSENTIAL QUESTION for Unit: How do the events and actions in Russia, China, and India in the early 20th century show the ongoing patterns of REVOLUTION & NATIONALISM?

Agenda & Lesson for the day:

• 1. Pass back and discuss Mid Terms

  2. Review and Analyze Essential Question for the Unit and introduce the unit

  3. "Cold Read" of Ch.14.1 (students should read just to read the story, no notes are required), then respond to the following:

     1. What was something you found interesting?

     2. What was something you found confusing?

     3. What was something you found familiar?

  4. Hembree's Lecture (see attached lecture notes) to tie everything together and answer questions

  5. Students will respond to the following quiz questions (remember these are very likely test questions for the end of the unit so do your best work - feedback will be given):
