Industrialization & The Urban Environment

Dates: 9/15 & 9/18

Agenda:

FRIDAY:

• • Opener (see attached) - this is the first part of the designing an Industrial City worksheet

  • Designing an Industrial City - see attached

  • Students will have the remainder of the period to plan and create their city.

MONDAY:

• • Students will be given the rubric for assessing the various cities and should spend time annotating per the instructions (see attached).

  • Students will discuss their annotations with their group and review with teacher any concepts they need further clarification on.

  • Students will then have 15-20 minutes to improve their cities and get them hung around the room

  • Students will assess another class's cities using their rubrics

  • Students will then consider and discuss Industrialization and the Urban Environment TODAY by completing a Venn Diagram about what has changed and what remains the same.
