Greetings Class of 2021 (aka Our Favorite Students of All Time*),
Distance Learning is upon is. It is weird. It is different. It is overwhelming. It is our new reality. Hembree and Jones have spent many an evening discussion trying to figure out how to make this process meaningful, valuable, and as stress free as possible for all of you. As of 9pm on Monday, 3/30/20 we think we've figured it out!
We have created a NEW GOOGLE CLASSROOM for all of you to join our combined classroom:

qvvo2yx - 2nd period
That's right, we are making English 11 and U.S. History one class for the remainder of the year. All assignments will be combined for both classes and we hope to design assignments together that you actually WANT to engage in. Our first assignment will be posted later this week and will be a discussion prompt. We're hoping this will be an opportunity for us to connect virtually and also begin to discuss what the heck is going on in our world right now and how it's affecting each of us. So please join our classrooms and engage in the discussion.
If you've already joined our individual classrooms - please cancel those and join our new combined classroom. We will be hosting combined office hours twice a week (more on that will be posted on our Classroom) and we can all be present to discuss concerns, questions, and check ins together.
We are learning this technology slowly, but surely. We may not have everything figured out right away, but we will get there eventually, Should you need to connect with us quickly, please feel free to shoot us emails at any time.
