Agenda:

• 1. Read over and discuss Cold War Q&A (see attached)

  2. Mrs. Hembree will lecture and explain the origins of the Cold War (Ch.17.1)

  3. Students will practice a Critical Thinking quiz in groups (see attached)

  4. Small Groups will examine the "hot spots" of the Cold War (see attached). The following regions will be covered:

     1. China (17.2)

     2. Vietnam (17.3)

     3. Korea (17.3)

     4. Cambodia (17.3)

     5. Cuba (17.4)

     6. Nicaragua (17.4)

     7. Iran (17.4)

     8. Afghanistan (17.4)

     9. Eastern Europe (17.5)

  5. Groups should be prepared to share out next class period.
