Region Report: Introduction & Game Planning

Post date: Apr 24, 2018 9:52:32 PM

Dates: 04/19 (A) & 04/20 (B)

    • Students are given the introduction to the Region Report (see attached) and are asked to complete the pre-thinking and region request. These are due at the beginning of the period.

    • Students will practice converting notes to an annotated timeline by using my sample notes (see attached).

    • Students will have the period to work on developing a detailed, timely, accurate, and COMPLETE game plan for how they will successfully complete this project.

      • Mrs. Hembree offered an example of how to develop a game plan in class, but game plans SHOULD:

        • Include every element of the project with a detailed description of how to get it done well.

        • Include dates you will plan to accomplish each task

        • Include chunk of time you will plan on spending on each item

        • Demonstrate thought as to how to approach the project, for example a game plan should not just say "complete task 5", but rather: "Will spend 15 minutes thinking through how my region is impacted by advancing technology. I will think about this, talk to my teacher about it, and make notes on what I discover."

        • Game Plans should be individual and evolving. Your game plan will be graded every single day you have to work on this project and will be entered as a product grade. These grades will adjust every day based on your adjustments and accomplishments with the project.
