Dates: 01/03 - 01/04 (A) & 01/05 & 01/06 (B)
Day 1: Fourteen Points
Students will review their packets on Wilson's Fourteen Points (these were packets we explored prior to break). Their task will be to identify the most important points, in their opinion.
We will then review, as a class, what all of Wilson's points are saying and hinting at (analysis)
Students will then form groups of 3 in which they will do a close read from different perspectives (British or French, Indian Nationalist, German) and we will discuss how each perspective might feel about Wilson's proposal.
We will close by comparing the Fourteen Points with the Treaty of Versailles.
Day 2: The World After War
Students will form small groups and will each be exploring a country during and after WWI. (see instructions attached)
they will be provided with an article from the internet (attached) and will be expected to share out with the class at the end of the period based on what they learned.
