For the next 4-6 days you will be working with a group to discuss, question, and learn about the rise of nationalism and revolutions in Russia, China, and India in the 20th century. Your task is to teach yourselves and develop questions for further understanding to ask Mrs. Hembree. You will have time every class period to seek assistance from Mrs. Hembree, but that time will be limited. You will also be working with this group to tackle the Group Assessment on 2/1 & 2/2. This assessment will include both document analysis and writing. Please remember the Essential Objectives for the unit:

DIRECTIONS:
· Find your class period and arrange groups accordingly. You will need textbooks for your group, please grab these now. Once you’ve formed your COMPLETE group (please work to account for absences), see Mrs. Hembree for Group Dynamics assignment and work together to complete this sheet. THIS STEP SHOULD TAKE NO MORE THAN 10 MINUTES.
Group Instructions: Day 1
· Verbally analyze the two Essential Questions and Essential Skills for the unit.
· “Cold Read” Ch.14.1 - how might this section connect to the essential questions of the unit?
· Ask Mrs. Hembree for a copy of her Ch.14.1 Notes and annotate (first individually, then share as a group).
· Develop top 5 questions for Mrs. Hembree to review
