Examining 2 BIG questions today:
How involved should a government be in its economy?
What do people do to fix the problems that arise from Industrialization?
Objectives:
Students will review big picture of causes of Industrialization, Effects of Industrialization, and Spread of Industrialization.
Students will practice note taking techniques
Students will understand the economic theories of capitalism, socialism, and communism
Students will use information discussed to apply it to their upcoming presentations on perspective
Agenda:
Pass back work and assessments and discuss assessment challenge (see Hembree)
As a class, list as many problems as you can that come from Industrialization
Review origins of Industrialization
Distribute note template for Ch.9.4 (see attached)
Discuss Economic Theories: Capitalism, Socialism, Communism
Students work independently on reform movements
