Overview
For programs that purchase GMAT lists from GMASS, the Data Import Wizard can be used. This tool allows each program to map data to lead fields within Salesforce and add prospect names to campaigns for further contact. GMASS files can be imported as frequently as the program chooses. The following steps outline the process of preparing and importing the file.
Import Process
1. Obtain file from GMASS.
2. Open file and add the following column and data:
a. Status: Imported
b. Campaign: copy Salesforce ID from the URL
c. Company: use the name of your group such as Executive Education or Graduate Programs
d. Recruit Year: the recruit year in which you accessed the list
e. Program of Interest: use only one of the following: MBA, EMBA, PMBA, MBAO, MRED, MSF, MSIS, MSISO, MSBA, MHA, MSIS/MSBA, MAcc, Undecided
f. Desired Start Term: enter the four digit code
3. Save the file as a .csv. Optionally, you can rename the columns to match the Salesforce field names so that you do not have to manually map as many fields step 8.
4. In Salesforce, click on Setup and then enter Data Import into the search bar. Click on Data Import Wizard.
5. Click on Launch Wizard!
6. Select Leads. Select Add new and update existing records. Complete the following steps:
a. Match lead by Email.
b. Choose GMAT - YOUR PROGRAM (ie GMAT - MSIS/MSBA) for the Source.
c. Assign New Leads to Lead Assignment.
d. Check the box to Assign leads to campaigns.
e. Select GMAT as the Record type.
7. Drag the .csv file to the Drag CSV file here to upload section and click Next in the bottom right of the screen.
8. Edit the mapping using the table below to assist you. Click Next when you've completed the mapping. You will receive an email once the import has completed. Please contact your program liaison if you receive any errors.
