Career coaches typically work with one or two particular majors. However, the majority of career coaches also work with undergraduate Business Administration students, regardless of their specialization.
The University of Utah uses Handshake as its job database. The system has great functionality for event management, job postings, on-campus interviews, and reporting, but career coaches tend to use Salesforce more, because it gives a better idea of a student’s involvement within the Eccles School and across campus.
Make 100% direct contact with all students each semester
Use the career interests in a student’s Handshake profile to send targeted communication about upcoming events and employment opportunities
Utilize Salesforce to track engagement in the SMART Start mentoring program
Track enrollment and engagement in BCOR 1010, a new (required) career exploration course for undergraduate business students
Increase average salary to $60k for graduating students that are seeking employment.
Improve knowledge rate for student internships to align with top 25 business schools.
