Creating a new opportunity

Push New Opportunity

Items in red are required to create a new opportunity. The Close Date is now the date you receive the commitment

Add the Allocation to the opportunity if you know where the money should be deposited. This will be especially helpful for scholarships supporting First Ascent, Opportunity Scholars, and Lassonde when the money needs to go directly into the program account. It will also ensure less requests to move money after the gift is processed.

Fill in the payment information on ALL opportunities. Incentive and Matching Gift information is filled in only when those section apply to the opportunity. The matching gift information is to show the totality of the expected gift. You still need to create an opportunity on the matching gift account to track the money associated/received.

If this will be a one-time payment, you still need to fill in the payment information. Enter 1 for the number of payments, expected payment date and Frequency as One-time

Save the opportunity

Push Create Payments

Hit Go Back

Payments are created. Note: payments will not automatically update if the opportunity amount changes. You can recalculate payments by clicking Create Payments button. You will need to delete any payments that are no longer needed.
