Opportunities are created when someone registers for a class through our registration form. Here's where to find it on the contact record:
When you have a lead on a custom program (See Custom Opportunities)
In very rare circumstances that are too rare to define. If in doubt, ask your program liaison.
Navigate to the contact record and click "New Opportunity."
Create the opportunity name. Our typical naming convention is: Organization name - Session - Class name - Month/Season Year (Workfront - Session - Change Management - May 2018)
Fill out all the information in the photo below. The Primary and Session Campaigns are the same. Set the stage to "Registered." The accountant will change to "Completed and Collected" when she has confirmed payment.
If you get new billing information add it in the Billing Information section.
The accountant will change the status to "completed and collected" when payment is confirmed. No one else should do so unless he/she is aware.
If payment amount needs to be changed the accountant will do that as well. Ask him/her for help if you should need to change payment for any reason.
If multiple people from the same company want to register for the same class they should still use our normal registration. A custom opportunity is never necessary for open enrollment classes.
If the company wants to pay with one check/cc payment we can attach that chargent order to each individual's opportunity.
If you have any additional questions reach out to your program liaison.
