The Scholarship Wizard will walk you through creating a scholarship record. This will also automatically connect the scholarship to your opportunity.
Use the radio button to select if there is or is not an incentive for the scholarship. Click Next.
Select the status of the scholarship. This is different than the stage of the opportunity. You will use Pending if the opportunity is still being negotiated. Use Active if you have a commitment for the scholarship.S
Fill in the Scholarship Type. This is the same as the opportunity Area of Support

Fill in the number of awards
Mark if a scholarship invite does not need to be sent
Click Next
Enter how the scholarship should be awarded
Books
Housing
Tuition
Enter the Academic Level and Program Emphasis. This information may not be known at the time you create a Pending scholarship. You can leave these as Any/Any, but remember to go back to update the scholarship(s) once you have this information.
Enter the criteria and luncheon description if known.
Click Next
Enter how many years the scholarship will be awarded based on the opportunity or to the best of your knowledge.
Enter the amount of the scholarship. This is the full amount we are expecting from the donor, not the probability dollar amount from the opportunity.
If an incentive was selected, enter the school incentive amount and the number of years the school will provide funds.
Choose the date the date the first scholarship will be awarded. *Note, this defaults to 16-17 so this will always need to be updated*
Click Next
Confirm the information you have entered and Click Next to create the first scholarship.
If you have a multi year scholarship, you will confirm the information for each year of your scholarship.
The scholarship(s) is/are now created! At this point it is best practice to connect your donor information to the scholarship.
Select the radio button to add the donor by External Contact ID and Click Next
Search by using the Advance id and Click Next
It will return a name. If it is correct, Click Next
It will then have more information to confirm it is correct person. Click Next
You can add other donors or invitees at this point. Do not enter a spouse as the second donor. This process will be repeated if you have multiple donors/invitees. Click Next
Enter where the luncheon invitation should be sent and what type of salutation to use. Click Next
You have now completed the process. Click Finish
