1. Navigate to the lead you wish to convert. Click the Convert button.
2. From this screen, you can perform a number of actions.
a. Add a new organization or use an existing one to associate with the new contact.
b. Update the opportunity name to your program's naming convention or check the box to not create an opportunity.
c. Create a follow-up task if desired.
3.If there is a potential duplicate contact in the system, you will be able to Create New Contact or Attach to Existing. If you see more than one Attach to Existing option, it means that there may be duplicate contacts already in the system. After converting, please submit those contacts for merging.
What fields map when converting?
Standard fields from the lead such as name and email convert to the contact automatically. If the organization is new, a new one will be created. For other fields, see the table below:
