Valid Decisions

When processing an approved or denied petition, the UAS processor must add "valid from" and "valid to" dates, based on the following rules:

• Dates

  • If the course was taken in the fall, the "valid from" date must start with 8/1 and the "valid to" date must start with 12/31.

  • If the course was taken in the spring, the "valid from" date must start with 1/1 and the "valid to" date must start with 4/30.

  • If the course was taken in the summer, the "valid from" date must start with 5/1 and the "valid to" date must start with 7/31.

• Years

  • The "year taken" always dictates the "valid from" year.

  • If the course is articulated, the "valid to" year is one year after the "valid from" year.

  • If the course is not articulated, the "valid to" year is five years after the "valid from" year.
