Notes for Creating a new "View" i.e. report:
Ensure you choose the "Course Petitions" tab.
Depending upon your level of access, you may need to choose "Course Petitions" from the drop-down menu in the top right corner of Salesforce. Alternatively, you may select "+" and add a Course Petitions tab to your default view.
Click on "Create new View" hyperlink next to the View drop down menu.
Choose Domestic or International from the "Record Type of new record" menu.
Enter in a name for your View in the "View Name" box.
When choosing a filter owner option, choose "All Course Petitions."
In the "Filter by Additional Fields" menu, you can choose many different aspects of the petitions you'd like to see included in your View/report. You don't need to fill out the "Value" or "Operator" fields but if you choose the "Petition Status" option, you will need to put in an option for the "Value" field. These options would be all of the available statuses for petitions such as: Student Submitted, Pending Faculty Review, More Info Requested, Etc.
In the "Fields to display" menu, you can choose as many of these as you'd like to be displayed on the front end of the report (meaning you don't have to click into it the View to see the information).
