Nola Hatchet

The underground RR says Nola was involved in the removal of Mr. Barnum from NMGenWeb.

Rumor has it that Nola was involved in the removal of Sandy from NCGenWeb.

Nola at one time threatened to join OHGenWeb in order to harass a CC in that project, who was incidentally kicked out of OHGenWeb shortly thereafter.

Talk is that Nola was secretly involved in the decision by FLGenWeb, Inc. to expel another CC without a trail or hearing. Nola allegedly sent several secret emails to the Board of Directors urging them to reject specific CC applications, going so far as to reveal medical information about one potential CC --who was then rejected. The fact that the Board of Directors did not publish the secret emails violates FLGenWeb, Inc. rules and State of Florida Sunshine laws, not to mention that it's a felony to transmit a person's medical information without written permission. One member of FLGenWeb, Inc. is currently under restrictions by the Navy and by the FBI for allegedly hacking into the server mentioned below. Sources say Nola has been keeping some FLGenWeb, Inc. members updated about the USGenWeb's discussions regarding FLGenWeb, Inc. since the infamous ejection of Laverne Tornow. This is a despicable situation, the likes that USGenWeb has not witnessed in years. FLGenWeb, Inc. may go down in history as the most corrupt Project State project. They have yet to pay for the hosting services FLGenWeb, Inc. contracted with Mr. Tornow, the husband of the evicted Mrs. Laverne Tornow.

FLGenWeb, Inc. intrigue's background. The personal email below is enlightening. It was from the President in response to one of the CCs. This sets the stage for the hatchet job to remove and evict Mrs. Tornow a few days later--and before the election at FLGenWeb, Inc.

Fran,

Goodness gracious, Thank you for the email. Yes, I guess it was Wilda. She is gone infact from Nom Committee, but perhaps not legally under RRO. She needs to make it official.

As for holding two jobs at once, I see no problem with it. Anyway, I know this will all work out. We will become a peaceful project.

Charles

I hope it all works out. I kinda am having my doubts about now. I don't have a clue how Mike Flood will vote. Not my place to ask. If he votes for Peggy then that will be 3 and 3 and I break the tie to elect Peggy. If not then Denise wins and the board then has a 4-3 split in favor of Patrice and Laverne.

I feel that Denise is going to run for Pres. They are stuffing the counties- or starting to so they can win. If you care to add an ACC to yours that would maybe give this side one more to counteract theirs.

I am awaiting the outcome of this. Not sure what will happen. If they win, I might as well resign now. and peace will be at a huge cost. those 2 will prob keep their stuff off line. Denise is SC for NJ and I understand their rules are horrendous. I went there and there are 20 counites, either 4 or 5 up for adoption and she has 2 of the ones that have CC's.

Two dozen Genealogy Societies, plus 946,000 other genealogy hits for Florida genealogy Google search. With such competition, it would be beneficial if FLGenWeb, Inc. kept its productive CCs, but as you can read the hatchet job below, the Board of Directors is more interested in solidifying a power base than in the well-being of the Project.

You may read the hatchet job against Mrs. Laverne Tornow from one of the Board of Directors of FLGenWeb, Inc. below: (Notice that William Zehner referred the CC as "Ms." when it's known that she is married. He also misspelled Florida. He also used "FL GenWeb" instead of FLGenWeb or more properly FLGenWeb, Inc.) To Wit:

Ms. Tornow is in violation of Art 3, Sec. F on multiple counts.

(1) "Art. 7, Sec. A states, “DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS Maintain the physical presence of FLGenWeb on the Internet....”

Ms. Tornow has apparently encouraged, or at the very least has permitted, her husband, Mr. Stan Tornow, to disable FTP access to the CCs of at least 35 FLorida county GenWeb sites as of 30 Jul 2009.

(2) Art. 4, Sec. E states "NONFEASANCE Any officer or director who fails to perform the duties of the position in a satisfactory manner may be removed from office by the Board."

Ms. Tornow has not only failed to perform her duties, she has continuously created numerous disturbances and distractions within and outside of, the Board, most of which had no discernible purpose other than to disrupt and interfere with the business of this organization and prevent its proper operation.

Further, she has repeatedly offended, maligned, berated, and/or even threatened one or more Board members and members at large, both past and present, who committed no offense other than to disagree with her opinion.

(3) Art. 3, Sec. E 3 states "No member or other person or entity ...shall benefit financially from research or other resources generated by the Project."

Ms. Tornow has (7 Jul 2009) demanded $2,500 to re-connect the access of our CCs to their Web sites. She has provided not a single invoice to account for her (or her husband's) hosting expenses, in spite of a good-faith request for same from our president to Mr. Tornow.

Further, Ms. Tornow apparently has established, or helped to establish, or at least was aware of, the following Web site that specifically attempts to profit from an unauthorized association with FL GenWeb without the knowledge or consent of FL GenWeb: http://flgenhistonline.com/index.html

Further, all intellectual content of our CCs' Web pages that are currently being withheld from our access are being held there in violation Florida Statutes Chap. 815 and probably other laws, including U.S. copyright laws.

Stan Tornow is presently engaged in a hostile act against FL GenWeb. Laverne Tornow is married to Stan. Laverne has a conflict of interest.

Madam President, any one of the above violations is sufficient reason for dismissal.

Madam President, the members will recall that on at least two prior occasions, I have personally intervened to prevent Ms. Tornow's malicious actions from causing her removal. I was assured, and I believed, that she would repent and behave. I was wrong. I now apologize to you, Madam President, to the Board, and to the members at large for that error. My misplaced trust in this individual has prolonged the agony for all of us.

It is now time to move this Project forward with a new DOO who is ready, willing, and able to serve FL GenWeb.

Thank you, Madam President. I yield the floor.

William Zehner

The ejected CC in question was a candidate for a Board of Directors seat with the voting beginning on September 1, 2009, just a month away. Her election was virtually guaranteed. Each and all of the charges listed above are invalid and ludicrous. A high school student could write better charges. William Zehner boldly stated that any of the violations is sufficient for dismissal. Making false charges is also a sufficient reason for dismissal. Was the wrong person was evicted?

This case can be summarized accordingly: FLGenWeb, Inc. contracting with Mr. Tornow to provide server space to any member of FLGenWeb, Inc. member who wished to use it. They failed to pay for the service. So, they evicted his wife from the Project. That action had nothing to do with the facts. Pay your bills.
