Welcome to Stalkers Unofficial USGenWeb Newsletter

Goodness, this web site takes a big chunk of my time. If I wrote eight hours a day, I'd never be able to explain to the public what goes on on behind the scenes in online Genealogy. First if you are interested in online genealogy and join a Project be prepared to have your life investigated. When I joined USGenWeb I thought my private life was my business. Not so. I subbed to the old ALL list of USGW. I had some ideas about improving the Project and opened my big mouth. I got it slammed shut as soon as I strayed off course from the official line at the time. A little wench investigated my life and came up with the fact that I maintained a sports website.

It was just a simple college sports rag. It had a link to most college newspapers. One college newspaper had a story about a wild and naked party at a University along with a few photos. That little wench who attached-to-me like a barnacle screamed to the heavens. You are running a pornographic web site. How dare you! Bad, bad, bad. No! I explained, the newspaper is a college newspaper and my web site is for college sports. It listed all of the college newspapers. It had all of the teams listed. It had all of the mascots listed. No, the little wench said, You have pictures of Cheerleaders on your site in short dresses. Yes, it's a college sports web site. It had a different photo each month of college cheerleaders. It also had links to every College and high school cheerleading website in America. But you have a nude dancing girl on your web site, she said. You're a pornographer! (Here's that naked dancing girl.)

In the 1990's those little dancers were popular on web sites for college and high school students. But I was accused of having naked girls on my site. That little wench happened to be from NCGenWeb. She referred to her fellow CCs as lower than snake bellies. She threatened to go to the Advisory Board to have members kicked out of USGenWeb if they disagreed with her. I was stupid enough at the time to believe that the AB was an all powerful and important group that could give the thumb up or down as the axe was about to drop.

What really set me off was when some clown sent an email to an employer saying one of my adult children was pornographer (re the college web site) and signed it with the name of a well-known USGenWeb member. I had enough. I reported the scum to the FBI with a copy to the NC. That was a waste of time, but it was an eye opener about what went on in online genealogy. I became angry. That little wench had been attacking me without mercy, but then she ran for office. I sent as many emails to voters as I could and she was defeated. She ran again in another region. I followed her. She was defeated again. The last I knew she quit USGenWeb. Thank goddness for one small victory.

Other nasty people are out there. As the lists operated by USGenWeb cleaned up their act, some went to Wally's list. Most are good people, but some are not. Many other tactics are used to smear someone, like subscribing to an adult message board under your enemy's name, sending out emails using software to make it appear another person sent it, misquoting an email to make the blue sky appear red. They might harasses someone until they lose their temper and write an improper email in response like saying kiss my ass, or better, Go "F" yourself. Many CCs are afraid to speak for fear of being kicked out of USGenWeb. "Please don't use my name but ..." I hear that far too much. I'm not afraid to speak. For that I'm charged with being anti-GenWeb. If I were anti-Genweb, I'd leave.

I thought I had heard all the dirty tricks but now there is a new one. This new trick is against the law. More about that down the page.

Déjà vu all over again: After the Monkey Trial of Tim Stowel, a member obtained the full transcript of that trial and published it. See this link: http://usgwpviolations.blogspot.com/ . The reason it was a Monkey Trial is clear if you read the full transcript http://www.radix.net/~merope/history/timtrialprelude.htm The prosecutors reminded me of monkeys swinging around the room chatting "ouee! ouee! ouee!" with curling lips, while Tim sat on the floor in chains. The Monkey trial was the beginning of disrespect for the AB. The Monkey trial telegraphed to the membership the fallacy of the concept of an AB. The Monkey Trial was illegal, but served to demonstrate that justice in USGenWeb is selective and biased. After the monkey trial, an AB member contacted me and asked if I had published Tim Stowel's trial. I was outraged and flattered at the same time, but I did not publish it.

Déjà vu: Yesterday, 11 Feb. 2009 I was contacted about an alleged phone call as claimed by Nola. Did you do it? I was asked. I was not flattered. If I make a phone call - I use my name. If I send an email - I use my name. If I write a Blog - I use my name. But that rumor is now being circulated and morphed into no telling what form. That story was generated by a CC from NCGenWeb.

I suspect she was befuddled. It's about a phantom phone call that some people might actually believe. I do not publish personal emails on Stalkers, but I'm considering making an exception this time. If the AB wants another Monkey Trial they should consider holding it for Nola for all of the distress and grief she caused to members over the past eight years. Nola's bullshit caused me to resign from one county. Here is a snip of that email.

(Email? Email? We don't need no stinking email.) I have not read the email yet. I only read the first two sentences and stopped reading. I then blocked the email address of the sender. The implication, as I understand it, is that someone made an alleged phone call. However, I will make my next phone bill and cell phone bill summary available to the AB or any SC who requests it. I made no phantom phone call to anyone. Supposedly, the phone call was from an undetermined person, about an undetermined subject, at an undetermined time and day, AND the phone company malfunctioned just at the right time to reveal the caller's name. The AB should give Nola an ultimatum, either produce proof that a call was made or resign. Phone calls are easy to trace. Maybe NCIS can be hired to investigate. What filthy slime ball wrote the lies below? I'll give you one guess. No, it was not Karen Mitchell, but she presented this slime to the AB in the grievance of Barnum vs. Mitchell. The AB should have throw her out the preverbal door for using these tactics. Instead, they ruled in her favor. (I xxxx-ed out family names below that Karen Mitchell published.)Copied from the Internet verbatim; Author: Karen Mitchell, State Coordinator of NMGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~nmgenweb/doc5.html

An expose on Charles Barnum. Tendered to me by a concerned USGW member. Name has been withheld due to threats of law suit.

On the Riverside, California message board 6-1-2005 Can anyone assist me in obtaining the obituary for Neil Thompson, Died: Corona, Riverside, Calif, 2 January 1949. He had a Military Funeral. I was five years old at the time, but I remember the soldiers firing their rifles while standing under under large trees. I'm trying to find his wife's name. Alyce O. ? Neil apparently died from injuries received in WWII. I'll gladly pay expenses. Much appreciated. Charles Barnum

*****************************

So this says that Barnum was born in 1944. He's now 62. So his oldest child could be about 42 now, right? That would make his grandchildren in their young 20's maybe, right? Or even younger. And his mother would be at least in her 80's. According to his Family Gedcom on the internet http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~thompson1/dat14.htm

Charles married Janet xxxxx.

His kids are: xxxx xxxx xxxxxxx xxxxx, xxxxxxx xxxx xxxxxx, xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx. His grandchildren are: xxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx, xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxx. His mother was xxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxx. 1. Janet xxxxx is another name for Janet xxxxxx. 2. xxxx xxxx xxxxxx 3. xxxxxxx xxxxxx 4. xxxx xxxxxx 5. xxxxxx xxxxxx 6. xxxxxxx Thompson is another name for xxxxxx Thompson

Now look at his pages on

ALHN http://www.rootsweb.com/~nma/

Kit Carson County, Co pages http://www.rootsweb.com/~cokitcar/

Yuma County, Arizona pages http://www.rootsweb.com/~azyuma/resourcepage.htm

How many times can you find the above names on his pages as contributors? It's highly UNLIKELY that all of his kin are involved in genealogy. No, it's not IMPOSSIBLE but I really doubt ALL of them have done this much work. So, you ask, why would someone bother to use all of these names instead of his own? Well the most likely explanation is that he has harvested all this data from other places and placed his families names on them. If they ever get sued for copyright infringement, they can honestly say they never had anything to do with genealogy. They probably don't even know their names are being used. Makes perfect sense. He could also use these names to obtain extra votes in USGW....remember he still has Counties in Colorado and Arizona. It would be interesting to know if these names are registered voters of the USGW project. It also has to be remembered that his pages on Gennet (sic) were closed due to harvesting material.

He also tried to claim the NM Death Index as his work by seperating (sic) it out into Counties and "contributing" it to USDATA. And after he was delinked from NM he placed a web page on the Lincoln County site that included extreme profanity and Rootsweb closed his account.

(end)

Above is Nola's style of writing. I was not allowed to question Mitchell and force her reveal the name of the slime ball who supplied that filth. Every sentence in that rant is a lie. I used no aliases or relatives on any of those pages or on any website. The AB was too lazy to actually verify it. If the AB had any guts or ethics they would have done the right thing and slapped Mitchell for saying that filth. The AB is a group that provides nothing of value to the USGenWeb Project. Too bad they are in charge because there is no way to kick them out. Now you know what I mean by Monkey Trial. "ouee! ouee! ouee!"

About Nola's account of phantom phone calls. If you read it, you'll conclude it is comparable to the rant above that was submitted the AB by Mitchell. That email will stun you unless you are brain dead. I read it a few minutes ago for the first time, 11 Feb. 2009. I'm still considering if I should publish her private email. If I do that, then I will lower my standards to those of Wally's list. I'm not sure I want to go down that road.

12 Feb. 2009 This is the central issue, Blackmail. I have gone without sleep trying to determine my reaction to Nola's apparent email attempt at Blackmail. I'm having a hard time deciding if that message should be revealed. I have no intention of using it in any legal way, but if you read the slime ball statement above reference to Mitchell's presentation to the AB you can understand my turmoil. These things must stop. The AB has shown they do not care about the rights of LCs so others must take up the struggle.

Blackmail from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

"Blackmail is the crime of threatening to reveal substantially true information about a person to the public, a family member, or associates unless a demand made upon the victim is met. This information is usually of an embarrassing and/or socially damaging nature. As the information is substantially true, the act of revealing the information may not be criminal in its own right nor amount to a civil law defamation; the crime is making demands to withhold it. English Law creates a much broader definition of blackmail, covering any unwarranted demands with menaces, whether involving revealing information or not."

13 Feb. 2009 below is a snip of that unsolicited email. Names of innocent people have been replaced by #### .

[Blackmail begins]

If you are not in their pocket, how did one of your nearest and dearest confidants learn of the latest dreams and schemes of #### and in turn call others to warn them about what they were doing after being confided in by you. No, I was NOT the person called but was informed and it was not just one phone call. I have never told anyone and you have seen nothing posted anywhere suggesting I knew about the phone calls or your part in getting the message out. That would be a real block-buster if I told all but I have no intention of doing so. Not only would you lose your inside track with #### as an informant but your closest and dearest confidant would not dare continue to support you and retain any respect anywhere!!

I may confront the informant since they will have a hard time explaining why they remain your trusted confidant and protector when they know of the destructive plans of others. Not a pretty picture at all. The person tried to hide their identity but through some fluke in a local phone system, the caller was identified. I could not have been more shocked but did appreciate the information. They did not learn of the schemes from #### so it could only have come from you. I have no real desire to make the information public but may feel forced to do so since you are not willing to do the right thing and simply stop trying to smear everyone who even suggests they do not agree with you.

[End of blackmail]

Observe the delusional writings and compare them to writings of the "unnamed" person who supplied Karen Mitchell with the slime she sent to the AB. Both use untrue statements. Both use unverifiable statements. Both use illogical statements. Typical are such things as, "Name has been withheld due to threats of law suit." If her name is not known, how could she have received a threat of lawsuit? And, "...some fluke in a local phone system." The person tried to hide their identity but through some fluke in a local phone system, the caller was identified. Why is she trying to extort me if the call was made by another person? Nola stated it was more than one call. Did the phone system have a fluke for those special calls, just at the right time, and on the right day to identify the caller each time? She uses contradictory statements like saying I have no intention of telling, then, I will tell if you don't do the right thing. At the heart of any kind of blackmail is one basic threat: If you don't behave the way I want you to, you will suffer. A blackmailer might threaten to use knowledge about a person's past to ruin a reputation, or ask to be paid in some other way. Do as I say or else. Blackmailers know how much we value our relationships. They use this knowledge to shape the threats that give them the payoff they want: our compliance. For example, if you pride yourself being generous and caring, the blackmailer might label you selfish or mean if you don't accede to her wishes. And if you tolerate the blackmailer, you will fall into a pattern of letting her control you.

Reveal your phantom information, Nola. Reveal your blockbuster. Destroy my dearest confident. Show your ugly picture. Tell the world about the schemes. Tell the world about their, his or her phone calls. And tell us more of the schizophrenic voices saying "they" are out to destroy USGenWeb.

It's your behavior and your slim ball friends who tolerate and encourage you who are destroying USGenWeb.
