Our project, in collaboration with the Bone Marrow Donor Programme (BMDP), aims to raise awareness about bone marrow disease and how we can help them.

This experience has been very enriching for me. Through this programme, I have learnt that there are various kinds of blood related diseases, and that there are actually many ways we can help these people, including raising awareness.

Through this service learning experience, I have definitely learnt more about the difficulties in finding bone marrow donors. I also learnt about the smooth process of donating bone marrow which inspires me to donate too when i am of age.

This project has me realise that there are many people in Singapore who suffer from bone marrow disease. After learning more about the difficulties they face, I am more determined to be more grateful for what I have as there are more people who are unfortunate.

What I learn from the volunteering that we did for service learning is that we should all be more self aware and that not everyone is as unfortunate as us. there are many people who are not privileged in sg and we must appreciate what we have in our hands.
