For SLEAD Activists
What are our responsibilities for Service Learning (SL)?
Under the SLEAD Framework as shown, the SLEAD Activists should possess the following competencies as Community Builders: cares about society; prioritises growing others; uplifts the community. The Activists should also be Skilled Communicators ready to work with external organisations, and reflective, Holistic Thinkers who can unpack Service Learning experiences.
• Being a SLEAD Activist, he/she should actively advocate Service Learning within his/her class and the College and guide his/her classmates through the SLEADERS Service Learning process across two years.
• An SLEAD Activist should possess initiative in the work he/she is tasked in and be responsible in leading the class to make meaningful positive impacts on the community.
• As the SLEAD Activist is a leadership role, if the SLEAD Activist is found to be performing less than satisfactory by the SL Committee, his/her role as a SLEAD Activist will not be credited in the School Graduation Certificate (SGC).
