Description of project:
Our project aims to educate elderly on how to use the 4 different features of fairprice app. It also aims to inform elderly that technology can help them save time and money and that it is actually much easier to pick up than they think it is.
Our project is broken up into two segments; ‘lecture-based’ and ‘application’. Elderly will run through a live lesson that runs through the features of the apps. Afterwards, they get to have hands-on experience trying out the app as well as clarifying any doubts they might have.

Class Reflections:
It was a really eventful event and I learned that the seniors were really interested in getting new knowledge and it changed my perspective. Although there were a lot of awkward pauses during the breakout session, we were able to get through it as a team. Overall it was a very good experience.
This is a memorable experience and my first time having VIA online. Although there are difficulties conducting this VIA online like how we cannot show them clearly which step or which button we were pressing, I am glad that there are people that I can depend on and help each other out. However, I feel that I should be less hesitant to talk to the elderly. Overall, it was a good experience :)
I learnt that to be prepared for the senior's questions. It was difficult to involve everyone at first but during the breakout room, we managed to get the seniors to participate. The seniors were also very friendly and participative. What surprised me the most is that the seniors are quite tech-savvy and were able to follow through with the activity.
My VIA experience with elderly was an insightful experience for me. The elderly were very cooperative and fun to talk to as we discussed the app. Though it was difficult to bond with them, they made it so much easier by talking really friendly. At the end of the day, I am grateful for being able to be a part of helping the elderly gain greater knowledge on the Fairpirce app.
It was enriching to take part in fruitful conversation with the seniors. It was encouraging that the seniors were receptive and eager to learn. Their open mindset allowed the teaching and learning to occur smoothly. Overall, the experience was an enjoyable one.
