Our project was to collaborate with the Lion Befrienders Organisation to organise a short event in commemoration of National Day. The event was facilitated by the SLEAD activists and the class was given approximately 3 weeks to discuss and formulate the event timeline as well as prepare materials and revise the scripts they had written.

We had to conduct the event over Zoom this year due to SMM however the event still operated smoothly and we were able to share the activities planned with the senior citizens.

Summarised class reflection: overall the students and senior citizens alike enjoyed the activities planned and had fun, there were little to no issues faced during the actual event and we conducted the origami and bingo components well.

The elderly were also able to keep up with our pace of explanation and were very actively participating. However, for future projects, we would ensure that more people have access to the slides made as well as prepare some back-up activities in case the activities planned ended early.
