exotic species affect the original ecosystem.
How did you become interested in this?
I like animals.
What should you know about?
The number of it.
The current situation about them and poaching, and how to protect animals in Japan.
The action Japan or Shizuoka does.
Question: How do exotic species affect the original ecosystem?
Hypothesis: Native species are damaged by them. The place living it or the things they eat.
How will you collect data to answer the question?
Things. (e.g., observe and notes, photos, audio, video, collect and tally, ???, ???, ???).
observe, notes, photos
Locations. (home, street, train, shops, school, job, city, books, documents, nature, media, internet, SNS, ???, ???, ???)
rice field, city, street , lake of sunpu-castle, Sengen-shirine
Describe your process, step by step. Be specific.
We go to rice fields. Then, we try to find alien species there, and take photo.
Do a risk assessment. Are there any dangers involved in your data collection?

Collect and record data
Analyze data
Answer your question or hypothesis using your data. Present your answer clearly. Summarize and highlight important aspects. Why are your findings interesting?
Reflect. Do an evaluation of your process and data. (what problems did you realize from your data/analysis? What could/should you do better next time?)
Connect. How does this fieldwork connect to you and your future?
Analyze data. What does your data show? What are the trends and outliers, main aspects and minor interesting details in the data?
The Number of Jumbo snails
Rice field 1 11
Rice field 2 12
Rice field 3 13
There are about 200 to 300 eggs in one mass. Therefore, over 2000 eggs are there. After they incubate, they eat a lot of rice
There are countless carps in the moat of Sumpu castle.
They push up the mud at the bottom of the water, and deteriorate the quality of the water. It is affecting the ecosystem.
When we went there, we observe this phenomenon.
Since they are in various places, there is a concern that they will destroy ecosystems of several areas.
Answer your question or hypothesis using your data. Present your answer clearly. Summarize and highlight important aspects. Why are your findings interesting?
In rice fields, Jumbo snails eat rice. The yield is reduced.
In the moat of Sumpu castle, many carps are there. They worsen water quality. Predation of other native species is possible. Carp is a very big eater and eats anything such as shellfish, insects and waterweeds.
Reflect. Do an evaluation of your process and data. (what problems did you realize from your data/analysis? What could/should you do better next time?)
The amount of data is small.
Connect. How does this fieldwork connect to you and your future?
We must consider ways to prevent damage to native species caused by alien species. It is also necessary to find a way to coexist with alien species while preserving native species.
Short summary

Exotic species relate to the goal No.15( LIFE ON LAND ). According the No.15, protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. Why this research matters to you, to the local community, and to the global community
We have watched the TV show which drains all the water from the pond. We noticed for the first time that many exotic species are in Japan We would like to find them in our daily lives. A member of us lives near the rice field. He has seen jumbo snails. They eat rice. In addition, the eggs of it have poison. Therefore it is DANGER.
RESEARCH REPORT
introduction
Do you know why endangered species are on the rise? It is caused by soil pollution, environmental destruction, land development and neglect. Among them, we especially investigated alien species, which is one of the causes of extinction of native species. A member of us lives near the rice field. He has seen jumbo snails. They eat rice. In addition, the eggs of it have poison. Therefore it is DANGEROUS.

About the snail, originally, they were imported for eating. So, we suggest that we create dishes using them.
Or we can create pamphlets introducing them. And contribute it.

Conclusion
Through this report, we know that there are many exotic species in our neighborhood. If nothing is done, the survival of native species will be in jeopardy. Actions must be taken to allow alien and native species to coexist. We do not have a lot of knowledge of them. In addition, some of them have poison. Therefore, we should spread information. For examples, make recipes used them and create pamphlets introducing them.
