Help children in Shizuoka city get good education
Help children in Shizuoka city get good education
PHAT (2021)
Short summary
⌨️ Nowadays, there are many foreigners living in Japan, especially the number of them has increased in Shizuoka city in recent years. Therefore, there are a lot of foreign children living in Shizuoka city and going to nursery school, secondary high school as well as senior high school. However, there are a lot of foreign parents in Shizuoka city who don't know how to help their children enter the nursery school as well as other high level of education. So, I think the authority in Shizuoka city should focus on helping these foreign children have equal education like Japanese children.

Why this research matters to you, to the local community, and to the global community

Now in Shizuoka prefecture, only about 60% of the foreign students enter into senior high school. This percentage is considerably low when compared with Japanese students. It happens because some students drop out of primary school or junior high school. There are others who want to get in senior high school but are not able to go because of financial reasons, or the lack of understanding of their parents. Therefore, N-pocket which is an organization in Hamamatsu has been organizing guidance of entering a senior high school as well as providing a lot of information a guidebook made by them since 2004. Now, this guidebook is translated to 6 languages: English, Japanese, Portuguese , Spanish, Filipino and Chinese. I still wonder why there are so many Vietnamese families living in Hamamatsu but it is still not translated to Vietnamese. Besides that, Not everyone know about this, especially in Shizuoka city, there is still no guidance about entering Japanese senior high school for foreign children. So, as a Vietnamese person and as a foreigner living in Shizuoka, I want to help all the foreign children in Shizuoka city can get more opportunities to enter Japanese senior high school through my project!
PROJECT PROPOSAL
Introduction
⌨️ According to data from Shizuoka city official site, about 250 foreign children are not getting good Japanese education and the number tends to increase year by year.
https://www.city.shizuoka.lg.jp/000869110.pdf
Many people may say that is just a small number and it shouldn't be considered as a big problem. However, with the dramatical change in multicultural symbiotic societies , the number of foreigner in Shizuoka city will be going to increase quickly and the number of foreign children also increase as a result of this. Although, a bigger problem is that Shizuoka city still not have any guidance book providing with information of entering Japanese school for foreign children.
So, if the authority in Shizuoka does not have any idea to help foreign children in the area, it might become a social problem someday.
Therefore, in this project, I am going to introduce my idea about how to solve this problem.
