About us
Who are we?
We are Project Azalea!
Hello! We are students at the Prefectural University of Shizuoka (Kendai). We learn about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a class “PBL English Ⅱ” and made a group, named “Project Azalea”. In this site, we present our SDGs Research Reports and Project Proposals to contribute to SDGs and make our world better than now.
In the spring 2021 semester, the first year of Project Azalea, 8 members gathered.
We share our ideas to let you know about SDGs problems and record our activities. Everyone has different interests.

Azalea
Many varieties of azaleas grow in Shizuoka, some of which are rarely found in other parts of the country. The azalea was chosen by the prefecture as its official flower in 1965 after asking the public for ideas. It was selected due to its familiarity and suitability for Shizuoka’s climate.

When we decided our project name, we wanted to chose something related to Shizuoka, because we think about the problem and the project in Shizuoka. We want to contribute to make Shizuoka better place even just a little. We will be modest and beautiful groups like Azalea: modesty is Azalea's flower language.
