Brainstorming and Notepad(What problems are you aware of? What are you curious about?)
We know about this.
Many people in this university take high quality education.
This is a school for poor and disadvantaged and troubled children →Utaka
Some people in Japan retire from university.
In Japan, many people take high quality education compared to developing countries.
Children in poor countries can’t go to school because they don’t have money or they have to work instead of going to school.
We have access to education without problems in Japan. However, there are many differences in education in the world.
What we want to know.
Did you know how much money your parents pay for you in order to commute to school?
→ In Japan, it cost about 5.4millon yen to graduate from high school and 8~9 million yen to graduate from university.
What initiatives is the school take to achieve quality education?
I want to know the difference in the world’s approach to education. (ex.In Vietnam, they have to pay tuition to go to elementary school.)
How many people don't take education in Japan and developing countries?
What triggers the differences in education?
What are the local characteristics and problems?
This problem is not only for children but also for elderly people who couldn't study because of their family reasons or something.
For them, night schools and Online school are made.
As there are many points of concern, it is necessary to focus on each one.

Hypothesis or question
What do you know?
How many donation boxes for donating to education are there around Kusanagi?
What kind of education donation boxes are there? (money or items?)
How did you become interested in this?
There are many donation boxes, but we were interested in how many were related to education.
What should you know about?
We should know how many donation boxes are in what range.
Question: How many donation boxes for donating to education are there around Kusanagi?
Hypothesis: We estimate that the number of donation boxes for education is small.
How will you collect data to answer the question?
Things. (e.g., observe and notes, photos, audio, video, collect and tally, ???, ???, ???).
Observe, count and take pictures.
Locations. (home, street, train, shops, school, job, city, books, documents, nature, media, internet, SNS, ???, ???, ???)
convenience stores, some shops, department store, supermarket
Describe your process, step by step. Be specific.
Decide the area we observe and go there. Walk around and drop into some shops like convenience stores, and if we can find the boxes, we count and take pictures.
Do a risk assessment. Are there any dangers involved in your data collection?
I guess we will have some risks like crossing the road with many cars and pedestrians.
Collect and record data
We walk and find donation boxes.
We found donation boxes in convenience stores. (Seven eleven, Ministop, Lawson, Family mart )
In department store (Mark is), there are donation boxes at two stores. ( Right-on, UNIQLO)
Analyze data. What does your data show? What are the trends and outliers, main aspects and minor interesting details in the data?
In the first place, only few shops had donation boxes. Even if there were, they were only a famous chain stores. There was no donation box in the mall itself, not inside the store. Most of the boxes were for nature support and it was difficult to find donation boxes for supporting children's education.
However, most of convenience stores had donation boxes.
Answer your question or hypothesis using your data. Present your answer clearly. Summarize and highlight important aspects. Why are your findings interesting?
We found donation boxes and all of them collected money.
Four convenience store in Kusanagi have donation box. →Seven eleven, Ministop, Lawson, Family mart (Donation box in Seven eleven is not about education.)
Reflect. Do an evaluation of your process and data. (what problems did you realize from your data/analysis? What could/should you do better next time?)
・Fundraising is not everything, but I realized that ordinary people have little means to help children's education. There is a lot of interests in the environment, but I feel that people are not interested in anything else.
・The area of research was too broad, so we should narrow down the area of research.
・The number of donation boxes is small. (It may be due to the advancement of cashless society.)
Connect. How does this fieldwork connect to you and your future?
・This fieldwork gave me a opportunity to think more about education.
・I will start to actively donate if there are donation boxes .

Why this research matters to you, to the local community, and to the global community
⌨️We can go to college as a matter of course, but this isn't a matter of course. There are a lot of people in the world who want to study but can't do it because of some difficulties , and then it becomes hard to achieve their dreams for the future. Because we learn the fun and importance of studying, we thought that we should work on this problem by contributing to the solution of poverty.
(RESEARCH REPORT)
Introduction
Are you satisfied with your education? We learned from the news that some students were forced to quit university due to family reasons. It's not a matter of course that you can get an education. There are a lot of people who can't study even if they want to do all over the world, and closer than you think. It is said that about 303,000,000 children can't go to school in the world. After thinking about how we could help these people, We thought that raising money was the familiar method and the easiest way for anyone to work on. So this time, we decided to research the number of donation boxes that support education nearby.

Problems
1.About the number of donation boxes
We visited many stores and found that the number of donation boxes was low. One of the reasons for this is the trend toward cashless transactions, and the fact that cash payments themselves are on the decline. Among them, there seemed to be even fewer, especially those focusing on education.
2.Location of donation boxes
Most of the donation boxes were located next to the cash register. However, if they are just set up, we may not notice them unless you are aware of them. Because it's next to the cash register, only shoppers can donate, and unless we shop, it's hard to notice the donation boxes. We thought it was a problem that it was hard to be noticed even though the donation boxes were set up. We thought that everyone can notice it at the entrance such as next to the sanitizer.
Actions
1. Set up donation boxes at universities and other institutions close to you.
We thought that placing them in public institutions such as universities related to education would be more effective in raising awareness of donation. Many people at universities are familiar with education, so we thought it would be easy for them to pay attention to donation boxes for education.
2.Play fund-raising activities by themselves.
We thought that the money earned by creating and selling something by ourselves could be used for donation for education.
3.Cashless fundraising.
Since the use of cash is decreasing, we should think of a cashless way to donate so that even people who don't have cash can donate. We felt that it would be good if we could make a cashless donation by simply reading a QR code.

Conclusion
What we learned this semester:
・We think the number of donation boxes are small. We should put donation boxes in many more places.
・We noticed that many people should have more opportunities to think about education.
・Donation boxes are not entirely absent in our cities and towns. In addition, there are many sites on the Internet that deal with donation for education.
・We felt it was important to bring a little awareness about education when we were shopping or touching my phone. For example, post education-related posts on SNS, or set up the donation for education in a more visible place.
What I/we did well
We cooperate each other and divided our field works.
We tried to research a lot of donation boxes.
What we could have done better:
The range of field work is wide, so we should limit the range more.
The connection to our future:
We felt it was important to bring a little awareness about education when we were shopping or touching my phone.
For example, post education-related posts on SNS, or set up the donation for education in a more visible place.
Our advice for other students:
If you see donation boxes, please donate.
