Accelerometer: measures acceleration that handset is experiencing relative to freefall. determine a device's orientation along its three axes
Gyroscope: orientation
Magnetometer: detects magnetic fields.
Proximity sensor: Sensor lets the system know you probably have your phone to your ear, and turns off screen.
Light sensor: Used to adjust the display's brightness automatically.
Barometer: measures atmospheric pressure. Used in conjunction with GPS for determining elevation
Thermometer: monitors the temperature inside the device
Pedometer: Determines the number of steps that the user has taken.
Global Positioning System: GPS detects radio waves from satellites to determine position
Touch Screen: Responds to human contact.
Cameras: Collects light information
Microphones: Collects sound information
