Making instructional movies from slide shows 

• Turning a slideshow into a movie can create a carefully sequenced learning experience. Images, diagrams, narration, and animation can direct attention, illustrate relationships, and break complex concepts into manageable steps. Information can be revealed gradually to reduce cognitive overload, while questions and pauses encourage prediction and reflection. Students can also pause, replay, and review difficult sections at their own pace. Used well, a slideshow movie combines visuals, narration, pacing, and sequencing to help students build a coherent understanding of a concept.
