Stop motion (stop frame) animation is a technique that makes objects appear to move on their own.  The objects are moved in small increments between individual photographs.  The photographs are then put together into a movie to give the appearance of motion. Stop-motion animation is particularly useful in learning processes in math and science.  The student must first think deeply about the process that is to be animated, and then must break it down into small steps for the purpose of creating the movie.  Students upload their animations into a collaborative cloud-based folder where the teacher can assess their understanding of the processes they are animating.  The following are a few ideas.
