Matthew 7:7-12
Ask, Seek, Knock
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
For us to have faith we need to pray, to ask and speak to our Father...If we don't ask or pray, we are not communicating with our Father...We then need to be persistent and seek the Father, and continue to knock...We just can't give up after one try...Keep praying...Ask, seek, and keep knocking, then God will hear us in His time and give us the things we need, those things that will assist us spiritually...We normally want to do things our way, or our will...Jesus teaches us God's way and by God's will is the way we should live...
God will not give us a stone or snake (bad things), but He will give us good things...So remember to do to others as you would have them do to you...This is a golden rule from our Lord Jesus...
God gives us abundance when we follow His will...He will bless us and because He is our Father, He will listen and give us answers...We then in turn must treat others as we want to be treated...
