The Golden Rule
12 “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
How do you treat others?...How do you want to be treated during your lifetime?...And how do you treat yourself?...Jesus thinks these things are very important, how we treat others, as well as how we treat ourselves...And when we treat others the way we want to be treated, this is a rule which we have labeled and called the Golden Rule...
We need to learn to have an open heart, and to keep our hearts open...Can we better ourselves by loving others, and by loving ourselves more?...The answer is yes...It seems that part of being a Spiritual Being is learning to love oneself better...And when we do we can treat others better...Loving ourselves, and loving others -is in part what the Golden Rule teaches...
So let us know how we want others to treat us...When we know how we want others to treat us, then we can treat others in that way also... Ask yourself how do you want to be treated, and then learn to treat others that way...When we treat others with love and from the heart, the world is a better place...
So do for others what you would want them to do for you...This is the meaning of the Law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets...We learn in this teaching that it is all about how we treat and feel about our neighbors and friends and enemies...So in everything that we do, we should try to treat all others how we want to be treated, so that we can treat all others this exact way, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets -and much of the Bible...
