Hebrews 11:6
Without Faith
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:1-3
Faith and By Faith
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.
3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Jeremiah 29:11-14
Seek The LORD with All Your Heart, and He Shall be Found
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
Matthew 6:26
Trusting the LORD
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
How do you personally go about defining your personal faith?...
What is a life without faith?...But everyone does not have faith...There are those without faith, and they do not believe in God...There are some who do not believe in Jesus...It takes faith to believe in God...It takes faith to believe in Jesus...It takes faith to believe in the Holy Spirit...And sometimes it takes a seeking process to find Him...The process might take longer than you would expect...So faith may come along at a later time, after one has been seeking God and and only later finds Him...And God is always looking for the lost...And since God is always looking for the lost, He is near us...
Faith is an interesting thing, and one I find difficult to explain...It is hard to explain how to get faith, to someone who has no faith...Faith is our way and our connection to God...Faith contains an element of mystery (for me)...The Hebrew author in chapter eleven talks of faith...First the author says that faith is having confidence in what we hope for and do not and cannot see...And then the author tells us that one needs faith to please God...And to please God, one has to believe that He exists...And God rewards those who earnestly seek Him...So we can believe that seeking Him is a priority, if we want to find Him and have faith...
So God exists for those who have faith in Him...And He does not exist for those with no faith...Believing in God's existence is one of the first steps in having faith...And so, it takes your own personal faith to believe in God...That is a mysterious circle...The believer is confident that God does exist by the faith he has....Without this confidence that God does exist, we cannot have faith, any faith...And by the same token, those without faith, are people who are not confident that God exists...But with faith in Him, He does exist...Therefore, without having faith one does not believe in Him, and therefore, the non-believer cannot believe in Him...He just does not exist...The non-believer does not have faith, like the believer...He is without faith, and thus he is without God...And without faith it is impossible to please or find God...So more seeking needs to be done for the non-believer...So the non-believer does not please God...
How do we find God, if we do not believe?...How do we go about seeking Him?...How can we know that He exists by our faith?...We can read the Bible, go to church, seek out those who believe, and read about Him in different places and books...We can look around us and see His beautiful creation...And when we seek Him, we should seek Him with all of our heart...Our heart must be open to find Him...Faith has to do more with the heart, than the head...Faith is more than being compliant...Faith is not reason -reason is reason...Faith is more than a feeling we have...Feelings are feelings...Faith is more than just reading and studying the Bible, and learning about Him...Faith is actually trusting in God, after we have found Him, through our seeking of Him...But sometimes He does find us, and the non-believer...
Faith, and seeking, and believing are necessary for finding God and having faith...So to have faith in God, we must believe in God...Or put another way, believing in God is a matter of faith...God is pleased with our faith and us (when we have faith in Him)...When we are without faith, we are not pleasing God...Jesus teaches us the eternities and the eternities are God, love, and the Trinity (God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, that He has put in each of us)...The Holy Spirit guides our hearts to the Truth...To believe in God, we can think in terms of these eternities and the spiritual...And our hearts help us with the eternities and the spiritual things...The more spiritually inclined we are, the more we want to seek Him, and the more He guides us and the more the Holy Spirit is in our lives...The more we seek Him and try to seek Him, we know He rewards those who actively seek Him...Those who think and believe in Him, and are more spiritually inclined to Him are more likely to see Him in the many things they do each day...Their daily decisions and daily choices rely or mostly rely on their faith...Those without faith use different criteria for their daily decisions and choices, because they do not believe in Him...Faith guides the day of the believer...Without any faith the non-believer has more doubts (I would think) in their decision making process...The non-believer is guided by his on way, and his own decisions...So believers whether they think about it or not have faith guiding their days...Their faith is a part of each of their days of their lives...
Faith is linked to our hopes, our loves, our optimisms, our truths and a belief that heaven awaits us...Faith is hard to write about without speaking of grace, hope, love, forgiving, mercy, and the Truth...Our faith gives us some certainty, some assurance that what we hope for is true...And we need this Truth...Our love and complete love makes all the world live together as one...Love not only can bring an inner peace, but love has the potential to bring a worldly peace...Jesus is both LOVE and the Truth...And why should we have faith or believe in anything unless it is true?...And Absolute Truth is Personal, because Jesus walked the earth and was a Person at the time He walked among us in Israel...
Each of the lives God has created is sacred...He created us in His Image...He gives us a will to survive...This will to live seems to be helped along by the Holy Spirit in us...Sometimes we may not even notice being carried along by the Holy Spirit...And sometimes it may seem it takes awhile before we see signs of the Holy Spirit...God is that Almighty and subtle and is patient, very patient...He is not disturbed by the things that disturb us and does not see to be on a time schedule, maybe other than His Own...Some can and have survived insurmountable odds, disease, aging and their Holy Spirit lives...As stated earlier, in trying to describe faith, (I think) one needs the extra words of love, hope, and Truth...The choices we make each day affects our faith...Or put another way, the way we personally go about our day, interacting with people, sharing our time, our loves, our hopes, and finding the Truth (after seeking It) often bring us to faith and a belief that God exists...
