Matthew 7:1-3
Judging Others
1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
We each have our faults...I have many faults, and I have sinned many times...And I try to follow God...
When we or someone criticizes the people that go to church or those that follow God, we are judging them...When we criticize His followers, we are giving our own ideas of what God's followers should be like and how they should act...This then is our vision of what followers of God should do and how they should act...Judge not and you shall not be judged...For in the same way that we judge others, we will be judged, and with the measure we use, it will be measured back to us...For some reason it is much easier to see that speck of sawdust in our brother’s eye and much harder to see and pay attention to the plank in our own eye...Jesus reminds us not to exclude ourselves when we criticize others...
Sometimes, not saying nothing is sometimes better than judging others...Helping others is better than judging others...Loving others is better than judging others...
