Genesis 1:25-28
God Creates the Animals and the Creatures that Move on the Ground
25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Matthew 7:24-29
Building a Strong Foundation in Life
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
Morality is not science and science is not morality...Since morality is not necessarily a science, and yet it is a set of truths and objections and ways that we deem necessary to live by...And morality, in this sense, is more than conduct...When God made us in His Image, and made us stewards over the earth, we in a sense, have been given this Divine Request to to be good stewards and be responsible...
As science seeks to find out more and more about earth and the universe, the scientists must ask themselves about morality...Science, in a sense, seeks to find out where things come from...So I would ask where does morality come from?...And my second question is don't we need morality to have and live a strong foundation in the life we live?...Doesn't Genesis help explain morality and this goodness in our abilities to rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground...
Morality needs to be defended in a way, as much as a discovery of a newly found science object or thing in a far off universe...As the world seems to be getting bigger and bigger, a life without morality is not a life well lives...I believe science needs morality to better show us the good findings and beauty of the universe...And the earth and universe is full of beauty and truth and it is in a Divine Sense, useless without morality...And even to the non-believer, isn't a life without morality a useless one?...
