10:30am: AM Snack Time: Grab something to nosh on & listen to this story: A, B, C Israel

11am: Morning Activities: Gym Day - Israeli drills & Shape Exercises

  • Pretend you are a soldier in the Israeli army and practice these drills:

    • Army crawl across the room and back

    • March in place

    • Play Shimon Omer (Simon says) with a parent or sibling.

    • Take a sheet or pillowcase and use it as a parachute. Practice moving up and down, fast and slow, walking clockwise and counter- clockwise, Place small, light objects in the middle and see what happens when you make those movements.

  • Grab your chalk and head outside. Make some shapes on the sidewalk and join Morah Leah's daughter, Meira, as she tries out these Shape Exercises.

1:30pm: PM Snack Time: Grab something to nosh on & listen to this story: Ella's Trip to Israel

2pm: Afternoon Activity - Israel Archeology

  • Take a trip to Israel with Sesame Street and learn how to be an archeologist: Shalom Sesame Archeology

  • Become an archeologist at home. Have a parent or sibling hide several small toys or objects in a bin outside filled with sand, dirt, mulch or coffee grounds.

  • Using different tools to uncover these items. Tools could include: a small shovel, spoon, paint brush, nail brush, feather, tongs, tweezers, sticks, popsicle sticks

  • Add a different level of difficulty and fun by using an ice tray to submerge small items in water. Freeze and try to dig out the item from the ice. What tools work best? A rock, cold water, warm water, ice, sticks, time, a small hammer?
