Steps:

Have a blast with this!

  1. Read and Research Artist.
Look through all online source materials for project inspiration. You want to know who Gustav Klimt was and his significance in the history and progression of Modern Art.

  2. Color the Background.
Choose warm or cool colors for the background. Warm colors are red, orange, yellow, and pink. Cool colors are green, blue, and purple. Fill the background with blotches of the colors that you choose. Make the white of the paper disappear.

  3. Draw the Tree Trunk.
In the center of your paper, with a black (or very dark) drawing tool or paint color, create the trunk of the tree. It can be a thin or thick tree. It could be inspired by the letter shape of a "Y."

  4. Add Branches. And Swirls.
Think of the upper part of your "Y" as branches. Add more branches! Then, add swirls to the very end of every single branch.

  5. Add Roots.
Add tree roots coming out of the bottom of your "Y." Create these in the same way you did your branches, but maybe more spread out.

  6. Illuminate the Tree!
Lastly, add dots of bright colors all over the tree and background. You could use white, yellow, and/or metallic colors like gold or silver. Make it glow!
