Matthew 1:23
God in Us, God With Us
23 "The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").
John 14:15-27
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
22 Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”
23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 15:26-27
The Holy Spirit Testifies about Jesus
26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. 27 And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.
John 16:13
The Holy Spirit Guides Us to All Truths
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Acts 7:51
We Can Resist the Holy Spirit
51 You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always resist the Holy Spirit!
Matthew 22:34-40
The Greatest Commandment
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Jesus was born and He is also at His birth called Immanuel...Immanuel means God with us...So when Jesus came to earth, God could and would be with us...Jesus is the Anointed One...He is the Son of the Blessed One and He links all of the world and all of us with the Holy Spirit...Jesus says the Holy Spirit was sent from the Father to us...And the Holy Spirit would be in us seeking and guiding us to the Truths that we believe...
The Holy Spirit helps us, and will be with us forever...He will never leave us, because the Holy Spirit is with us until eternity...The Holy Spirit, if we listen to Him, guides us to the Truth...We can resist Him and not listen to Him...But when we listen to Him, the Holy Spirit teaches us about Truth and about LOVE...When we listen He is an Advocate, Counselor, and Helper for us...Because the Holy Spirit is actually in us, He knows when we are troubled and when we need comforting...The Holy Spirit is a Great Comforter...He comforts our hearts and our thoughts when we are grieved...And although when we are the most grieved and troubled, we have trouble seeing Him -but He is there...We better see the Holy Spirit, after we are done grieving and our troubles are past (after some time has past) and we look back in those times and reflect and say, Something or Someone helped me through those times...
The Holy Spirit with His Truth and LOVE is our linkage point, when we embrace Him and do not resist Him...The Holy Spirit links everyone to Jesus, and Jesus connects everyone to our Father in Heaven...God has connected us all with the Holy Spirit...When we believe in the Greatest Commandment, we see that God has connected the whole world...When we see these things like the eternities of Truth and LOVE through the eyes of our hearts, we see things with more compassion...We better see what pain and suffering are, we better see what richness and poorness are, we better see what this country is and that country is, we better see what war and peace really are...We then can see that there are real treasures and real strengths in this world...And our hearts become linked with a compassion and this LOVE that He teaches and sends us...Truth and LOVE are really these real great treasures...The Holy Spirit is this Spirit of Truth in us...The Holy Spirit is always seeking and looking for this Truth...And the Holy Spirit links us to Jesus...Each of us have a Holy Spirit...Believers have a Holy Spirit, and non-believers have a Holy Spirit...The Holy Spirit is in our hearts and links everyone in the world together...We are all children of God...And we are all each other's neighbors...We are brothers and sisters of the world -and our Father is God in heaven...And each nation has a nearby and neighboring nation...And we are just that -all neighbors of the world...The world has this one common link, and it is the Holy Spirit...The fate of our world and the peace of our world is connected in how we treat each other -and how we love each other...
