Acts 1:1-5
Jesus Gave His Disciples Convincing Proof that He was Still Alive After His Death
1 In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach 2 until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. 3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
John 11:17-27
Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life
17 On his arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. 18 Now Bethany was less than two miles[b] from Jerusalem,19 and many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother. 20 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home.
21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”
23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”
24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Job 42:1-2
God Can Do All Things
1 Then Job replied to the Lord: 2 “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

Five Hundred People See Jesus After His Death
3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
In some Divine Way, I think Jesus has people who do not believe in Him, and that in itself adds credibility to Him being alive today...There is no doubt in my mind that Jesus makes us think about God and faith...There were doubters in those days right after He had risen...But there can be doubt, and and we can still have faith...I believe His Disciples first doubted that He was alive again...His doubters give rise to the word and belief in faith -for those who do believe and have faith in Him...Faith in the Son of God, is not always perfectly clear and certain...Faith does not have everyone believe in Him or that He was resurrected from His death...After His death, people had a decision to make...They would ask themselves is this Man Jesus still alive after His death on the cross...Everyone did not get to see Him or talk to Him after His death...So these people would have to explain this in their thoughts and minds, how can a Man live on after His death?...They could talk to others and get their opinions and their facts on Him, but in the end, each of personally has the opportunity to believe or not to believe...Belief in Jesus, is what makes Him the Resurrection and the Life, at least this is what He tells Martha...And He asks her, if she believes this...So everyone does not believe in the resurrection of Jesus and even after Jesus died the original Disciples had a problem with believing that He was still alive...Faith is what it takes to believe and that He is still alive (and still alive today)...And Mary and Martha have that faith...Jesus can do all things...He knows all things...No purpose of God's can be stopped or thwarted...
Jesus told Martha and us that He is the Resurrection and the Life...The Disciples did not seem to believe that fact immediately...And they were with Him during their first three years of His ministry,...And they do not seem to believe Him, when He is arrested, and tried, and later crucified...His Disciples did not seem to take that what He said to Martha as gospel after they heard Him say, I AM the Resurrection and the Life...It took some more convincing for them after His death, and especially Thomas for His Disciples to believe...The eleven remaining Disciples came to believe that Jesus was alive after His death...It may have been a slow process for them to completely believe that He is still alive...Thomas said he would only believe if he could touch Jesus’ wounds...Because it took forty days of convincing proofs for them to believe that Jesus had been glorified by God and resurrected, I think (after the forty days) they all honestly believed that He is our Messiah and Savior...So during these forty days, the Disciples would see Jesus multiple times, and not just once or twice -and so would five hundred other people...
When Martha says that if Jesus were there her brother Lazarus would have lived...She does not know of His Great Power...I think sometimes we limit Him and what we think God can do...“LORD,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died...But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”...Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”...Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”...Martha is still limiting in her mind what Jesus can do...Jesus said to her, “I AM the resurrection and the life...The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in Me will never die...Do you believe this?”...“Yes, LORD,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”...
