Jesus Resurrection
10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Jesus Came Back for Forty Days After His Death
3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
St. Paul tells us there is a power of the resurrection...Can you even imagine being there when Jesus came to the disciples after His resurrection???...Of all the miraculous things the disciples had seen, now this grand miracle of His resurrection...By seeing Him after His death would validate everything He had said, He had taught, and everything He had done...And after His death He came back for forty days...So His Disciples now had convincing proof that He is our Messiah...
Now after He would ascend to heaven and from then on, the Disciples and His other followers knew without a doubt, He was the Messiah, He could turn water into wine, He could walk on water, He could calm a storm, and oh -how He could heal people...And now He came back from being dead for three days, and visited with His Disciples on and off for forty days...Over this forty day period the Disciples no longer doubted where He came from -and where He would return after His resurrection...They would now have a different perspective about Him...And it took the resurrection to convince them...
This was one reason the apostles became so confident on the day of Pentecost and after and started (or continued) "the Way", even though they knew they would be persecuted...Seeing Jesus alive after His death validated His life...We know (now and then) He will return on a cloud, because He has told us so...He will return to us and to earth...
The Disciples would in their life have this great opportunity to see a time when faith and reason would meet...This never before or ever since has never happened...Truth would meet faith (the faith of His Disciples and His followers would get to meet Him following His death)...Truth, at that time in history, meets faith and meets reason...Jesus' resurrection would forever link Truth, faith, and reason...Truth, faith, and reason would forever be intertwined...There is this great power in His resurrection...That is the Grand Miracle of the resurrection...
