John 1:29
Jesus the Lamb of God
29The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Matthew 9:9-13
The Calling of Matthew
9As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
10While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples. 11When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"
12On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
Romans 5:12-21
Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ
12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— 13for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.
15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23
Sin to Death
23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Acts 15:11
Saved by Grace
11No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.
Some people believe in the story of the LORD and others do not...Some believe in God's Plan and others do not...Regardless, if you believe or do not believe in God, it still is an interesting story...And interestingly enough the story makes sense...It is hard to understand, but just because we do not understand things, does not mean it does not work or they are not there...I do not know how my brain works, but it does...So to get to God and by faith, we must go beyond understanding...We often do not even realize that we do not understand how something works, but believe in it anyway, -like the brain and how it works for us...And even though, we find something hard to understand, that does not make it untrue...Often, we go beyond understanding and do believe things...For instance how and why is the sky blue?...How did the tree get here?...We know the sky is blue and that we have trees...We just believe and know that the sky is blue and we have trees...But when we believe in God and don't quite understand how and why He did this, it takes something else (in us), to get us beyond understanding...When we believe in His Story and Plan, this something else is called faith...
The story in a synopses goes like this:
God created man and puts him, Adam, and his wife Eve, in paradise...Man falls from His grace by sinning...We are expelled from paradise, and our sins cause us to die...God sends Moses, and the Prophets to help us repent from our sins, and turn to Him, but we fail...We are taught many rules in Moses laws, and one is that a sacrifice is to be made, when we sin...He then sends His Son to us, realizing everyone has sinned...His Son will take away our sins, if we believe in Him, and the One who sent Him...He has to be sacrificed for us to pay for our sins...He is sacrificed on a cross...This Perfect Sacrifice saves us from our very own sins...
We have to realize that we do sin, for Jesus to save us...Sin came into this world through Adam...Sometimes I don't think we realize that we sin, but we do...Jesus is the only One who has not sinned...Therefore, when we pray, let us not pray for justice, because we are guilty of sin...We have to realize the fact that we sin, before we can be saved...After all, Jesus did not come for the righteous, He came for us sinners...
St. Peter and St. Paul tell us, we are saved by the grace of God, through our LORD Jesus...We sin and have sinned and are forgiven by our Creator...God's Plan is to have His Son save all of us if we believe in Him, because it seems we just can't quite keep from sinning, no matter how hard we try...So by Adam, we get death, and by Jesus we get eternal life...So the story is interesting and the story makes sense...God put Himself in His plan and became man...But you don't have to believe in the story, just because it makes sense...The choice is yours...It takes faith to believe in His Story...
