Romans 1:18-20
God Created the World and is Clearly Seen
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Psalm 24:1-10
of David
1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
2 for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.
3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.
5 They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.
7 Lift up your heads, you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory.
Psalm 33:6-9
By the Word of God the Heavens Were Made
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars;
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
9 For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
Acts 17:24-28
God Wants Us to Reach Out and Seek Him
24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
The Divine Nature of God and God creating nature are very much connected...As we search for Truth, we use reason and logic to believe in God and His mystery of creation...There is much to be said for God's creation work and the nature around us as we live and breath...But there is no doubt another type of mystery in and that is in God and in the Divine Nature of His Being and Essence...So where does our logic and reason lead us to the these different mysteries of God?...
We wonder and look at the beauty of nature itself...We this greatness and this beauty and goodness in nature...Not only is there beauty in nature, nature is plain to see...It is all around us, so we cannot miss it...I do not see God removed from nature...So I myself cannot explain nature or its beauty, without referring to God and His involvement...So I see His Greatness in Nature...So nature is a mystery to me, just as God's very nature is a Great Mystery for me...And both God and nature exist, and they are both these Two Powerful and wonderful Mysteries for me...
Much is said about creation and nature in the Bible...One Psalmist wrote that by the word of the LORD came and the heavens were made, their starry host were created by the breath of His mouth...God gathers the waters of the sea into jars; He puts the deep into the storehouses...Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him...For God spoke, and the earth, the world, and the universe came into being; He commanded, and the earth stood firm...And King David wrote that the earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, and the world, and all who live in it are His...Just as Paul writes that in nature, there is this implications of Greatness and the One who gave us nature and the world around us...St. Paul writes about how much nature reveals and tells us about God...
Can we reason and analyze God?...Can we reason and analyze nature?...If we struggle with these things let us look at them in awe...Let us look and observe creation and the nature around us...Let us enjoy its beauty and all the things we receive from nature...God wants us to learn and enjoy from the works that He has done in the heavens and earth...Enjoying these things help us create a relationship with nature and ourselves...Maybe somewhere is enjoying nature we might reach out to Him and find Him...Enjoying nature helps us see and seek the One who not only created nature, but also created us in His Image...
