One-Pot Cheeseburger Pasta
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup yellow onion, diced
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
2 Tablespoons ketchup
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 cans beef broth (14.5 ounces each - I use low sodium)
1 cup water
1 pound box rotini pasta (or fusilli pasta)
3 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk (whole or 2% milk)
salt & pepper to taste if desired
Directions
In a large pot add ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium-high heat, breaking up beef, blending seasonings evenly. Cook until browned with no pink remaining and onions are translucent, approximately 7-8 minutes.
Next, add beef broth and water and bring to a simmer then add pasta and allow to simmer uncovered for approximately 17- 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pasta is ready when it is cooked to desired texture and broth has cooked down.
Last, add 1/2 cup milk and cheese. Mix well until cheese is melted and evenly blended. Serve, salt and pepper to taste, enjoy!
