![]() 今月のメッセージの最終回で予告したとおり、気まぐれにまたメッセージを書き始めました。河田 聡について(詳細はこちら)現在、阪大名誉教授、理研名誉研究員、ナノフォトン株式会社代表取締役会長兼社長、セレンディップ研究所主任研究員(非常勤)、OSA (米国光学会)副会長、科学技術振興機構・CREST「革新光」研究総括など。1951年大阪府池田市生まれ。1970年大阪教育大学附属高校(池田)卒。1974年大阪大学工学部応用物理学科卒、1979年同大学院博士課程修了、工学博士。同年 Univ Calif Irvine, Postdoc,その後、阪大助手・助教授を経て、1993年阪大教授(工学部・工学研究科・生命機能研究科・情報科学研究科兼務)、2013年同特別教授、2002年に理研主任研究員(ナノフォトニクス研究室)、2010年同チームリーダー。日本分光学会・会長(2007-08)、応用物理学会・会長(2014-16)、Optics Communications (Amsterdam) 編集長(2000-09)、OSA副会長(2020-)など。紫綬褒章(2007)、文部科学大臣表彰(2005)、江崎玲於奈賞(2011)、日本分光学会学術賞(2008)、島津賞(2003)、市村学術賞(1998)、ダビンチ優秀賞(1997, France)、日本IBM科学賞(1996)などを受賞。2003年にレーザー・ラマン顕微鏡の製造会社ナノフォトン(株)を、2016年に研究会社(有)セレンディップ研究所を創業。2005年に「平成洪庵の会」、2009年に「科新塾・中之島」(科学者維新塾)、2011年に「科新塾・お茶の水」を開塾。「Nature」、「Science」などに論文発表。「ギネスブック」、アメリカの中学2年の数学の教科書などに掲載される。著書編著は35冊。2008年に「一家に1枚光マップ」(文部科学省・科学技術週間)を作成、2015年に改定。
| Satoshi Kawata, a brief description Satoshi Kawata is now the Professor Emeritus of Osaka University and a Honorary Scientist of RIKEN, and currently the vice President of Optical Society (OSA). He has served as the President of JSAP (Japan Society of Applied Physics) from 2014 to 2016, and the President of Spectroscopical Society of Japan from 2007 to 2008. He is a Fellow of OSA, IOP, SPIE, and JSAP.Professor Kawata received his BSc, MSc, and PhD all in Applied Physics, from Osaka University. After the experience of postdoctoral fellow of JSPS, he spent two years in University of California, at Irvine as a postdoc. He joined Osaka University as a faculty member in 1981 and was promoted to Professor of Applied Physics in 1993, and then to the Distinguished Professor. He has been also the Professor of Departments of Frontier Bioscience and Information Sciences. In 2002 he joined RIKEN as a Chief Scientist as a Head of Nanophotonics Laboratory until his retirement in 2012.
