DHARMA-

Dharma classes are assigned based on student's age. The syllabi are structured for each year based on the average cognitive abilities of children in that level. The syllabi/classes do build upon each other from Dharma 1-10, but it is not required for a student to start at Dharma 1 to join and/or continue HATS.

Dharma classes are REQUIRED for students in HATS. Some exceptions can be made, but need to approved by the HATS Administrator.

LANGUAGE-

Multiple languages are offered in HATS, with equal emphasis on speaking, reading, and writing in that language. Language classes are OPTIONAL, HATS students enrolled in Dharma class are not required to also take language, but are encouraged. Some language classes may not be offered every year (depending on teacher availability and student enrollment)

Hindi:

• Currently, multiple Hindi classes are offered for different levels.

• Beginning Hindi students will join A1 (ages 7 and below) or A2 (ages 8 and above). If a child is more proficient, they can be moved to a higher level.

Other Languages:

• Languages: Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu

• Other languages currently have one assigned class per language, but may be split further within the class based on number of students, teachers, and/or skill needs. That determination is made by the language teachers.
