This class covers: Give a connected account of this scripture covering the major episodes. Use these episodes to reinforce moral values and to highlight evils to be avoided. Philosophical sections such as the Shanti Parva should be avoided. Adult content should be modified appropriately. Selected verses from the Vishnu Sahasranama could be taught.

Per the discussion in Parent Teacher Conference- I recommend that parents watch the serial (26 episodes only) named "Dharamkshetr" on Netflix. On a simple question whether Gandhari's blind-folding herself was an act of "dharam" people may find it challenging.

October 7

We covered student life memoirs and incidents reflecting on the nature and characteristics of some of the prominent characters, like Arjun, Dur-yodhan, Yudh-sthir, Bheem etc.

1. Discussion on Dharm and adharm in various actions and orientation behind some of the actions there.

2. Around the Story of shooting the bird's eye and Arjun, Ashwa-otthama and discrimination by Guru.

3. Arjun vs Eklavya.

We invite thoughts of students around each episode and event and help explain the areas that need due understanding and attention. Emphasis more importantly revolves around the concept around what are we learning - What Mahabharat means, how could it help in our life, what dharm means, etc.

September 30

We covered about Kirpacharya and Dronacharya, the royal Gurus;

1. Discussion on Dharm and adharm in various actions and orientation behind some decision in life vis-a-vis Mahabharat. This discussion was in keeping with events and characters involved around those events, e.g. reg crown prince after Pandu.

2. Status and scope of Dhritrashtr as caretaker king (Regent), especially in view of the future of the kingdom and crown prince.

3. Arjun vs Eklavya.

We invite thoughts of students around each episode and event and help explain the areas that need due understanding and attention.

September 23

We covered about Pandu and Dhritrashtr (including their wives), about Pandav brothers and Kaurav, reflecting on:

1. Boon to Kunti, Blindfolding by Gandhari, agony and mental direction of Dhritrashtr when denied the throne

of Hastinapur, which would pave the path of destruction for the mighty Kuruvansh.

2. Kunti's boon that would play a crucial and a significant role in the future events.

3. Curse to Pandu and its impact.

4. Relationship of Kunti with Krishan.

We invite thoughts of students around each episode and event and add to clarify the areas that need due

understanding and attention.
