November 6

We learned akshar “च” and matraein चा, ची , चि, चू चु with examples of words starting from each one of them. 

I asked students to practice these at home and come up with words starting with these akshar and different swar.

Namaste parents

Today we learned basic Hindi and started reading poems on pages 5 and 6. The homework is for your student to look at page 7 for bit a try to understand it.

October 16

We went over the Hindi matras. The teacher taught the students how to apply the matras to letters, how to pronounce the matras, and how to write them. The homework for this week is for all the students to practice the matras and be fluent in them by next week.

October 2

Materials Covered in Class: Last Sunday we learned simple basics on reading and speaking Hindi.

Homework:  Please review the alphabets with your children over the long break before next class and make sure they have a strong understanding of them before the next HATS Class as this will be absolutely necessary for next class and students will not be able to learn if they don’t know the alphabets. 

Other Info: It is expected that all students should have a good grasp on the alphabet and can start forming simple words/sentences.

Here is the update for Hindi B

1. Most of the kids are familiar with hindi alphabets. Some of them know 'Matras' also

2. Practiced  hindi words for fruits, colors,  vegetables, animals , birds.

3. There were not enough books to be distributed,  to be done next week.

4.  Emphasis is on speaking hindi in the class.
