March 21

Today in class, we practiced making sentences on a given topic on the spot. We also started planning our end of the year presentation, which will be 10-15 well written and practiced sentences on any topic. Pick the topic by next week! The sentences can be written in class with help if you want the presentation to be a surprise for the parents, or you can write them with the help of your parents. Also, we will be starting more reading and writing for the rest of the year!

The homework this week is to pick a topic for the final presentation and as usual, prepare 10-15 sentences about any other topic of your choice!

March 7

Today in Marathi class we shared our prepared sentences and practiced translating difficult words from those sentences. We then practiced numbers and also did some simple math, addition and subtraction, with marathi numbers.

Homework is to prepare 10-15 sentences by next week on any topic you choose! Enjoy the week!

In class today, we asked questions about English words we needed help translating. We also practiced multiplication in Marathi. After that, we all read about our individual topics, and learned the meanings of certain vocabulary words from each one of them.

For next week, please prepare 15 to 20 sentences in Marathi about any topic that interests you, and be ready to share!

Today in class we translated stories, sentences, and words in general from marathi to english. We also practiced some math in marathi. For next week, please have 10-15 sentences ready to share in marathi about any topic of your choice! Thank you!

To start class today, we reviewed past vocabulary on animals. We also shared the prepared sentences from last week. Then, using Jamboard we practiced reading words and sentences and translating them to english! For next week, have 10 sentences ready to share and complete any additional work sent in the WhatsApp group.

January 17

namaste! today in class we first talked about some makar sankranti vocabulary. Next, we talked about a couple different festivals that are coming up and what we do to celebrate those. Then, we went around and presented our homework which was to write lines about some topic in marathi and then practice speaking them. After each person's presentation, we had a short quiz on some of the words that they used to make sure that we understood the presentation and also to build new vocabulary. Lastly, we heard a story about Vinayak Sawarkar, who was a freedom fighter. The homework for next week is to pick another topic to write sentences about, and practice speaking those sentences in Marathi.

namaste everyone! today in marathi class we first practiced reading in marathi; we read various short words such as बाबा, काका, पाऊस, etc. then, we practiced vocabulary in different topics such as animals, fruits, vegetables, and colors which also helped us to practice speaking in marathi. we then finished by writing our names in marathi. the homework is to write 15-20 sentences on any topic and to be prepared to read aloud them next week.
